Book Review for: "Knitting Block by Block" by Nicky Epstein

I love working with yarn. There is just something wonderful about using your hands and creating something that was just formerly a long string, into something beautiful. When I was given my options to review this month's set of books, the one that caught my was Knitting Block by Block by Nicky Epstein. Normally, I prefer a crochet hook to knitting needles but I thought, "what the heck, we'll give it a try". I received it a couple weeks later and found a beautiful, hardcover, brightly illustrated, book.

I love this book because it has many vividly colored pictures of knitting with just squares. They also have patterns to make scarves, afghans, sweaters, even little toys.

Many of the patterns are very fun, such as a smiling face on one or a martini glass with an olive!

However, some of the patterns are a little complex, so I suggest a person with experience in knitting read this book. I do not recommend it for beginners.

Disclosure of Material Connection: I was provided a free copy of this book by Blogging for Books in exchange for my honest opinion.
